DEATH VALIDATES THE SACRED IDEAL
Richard Koenigsberg

Political violence is a method through which a nation or religious group validates its sacred ideal. The purpose of political violence is to generate death and produce wounds in the name of confirming or proving the truth of a sacred entity or idea.

The methodology is the same, regardless of the nature of the ideal or entity. One may love the ideal or hate it.

Death functions in the name of confirming the reality of the sacred ideal. The death of one's enemy as well as of one's own people are equally valid methods.

In the name of the sacred ideal, human beings forfeit their individual lives.
