NAZISM grew out of the fantasy of the immune system projected outward. Instead of believing that "discourse shapes the body," imagine that the body shapes discourse. Discourse externalizes bodily experience and fantasies connected to the body. Inner fantasies rooted in bodily experience are projected outward.
Below is Heinrich Himmler’s speech at Posen, delivered to SS officers and NSDAP officials in October 1943, in which he spoke of the extermination of the Jewish people.
The Jewish "bacteria in the body of the people" was the projection of the experience of disease located within the bodies of Nazi leaders. Himmler understood that if he didn't want to be infected by a bacillus, he had to eradicate a bacillus in the external world. Nazi ideology or discourse was shaped by bodily experience. The Jew was Himmler's disease. Projected out, Himmler's disease became a "disease within the body politic."
The Nazi movement was a struggle to destroy a disease located within the bodies of Germans. No "victory" was possible...because Hitler and Himmler were struggling to destroy a disease within themselves.
When Hitler and Himmler shot themselves, the disease (the Jewish virus) within the body politic died.

"Just because we eradicated a bacillus doesn’t mean we want to be infected by the bacillus ourselves. I will never permit even one little spot of corruption to arise or become established here. Wherever it may form, we shall burn it out together.
"In general, however, we can say that we have carried out this most difficult task out of love for our own people. And we have suffered no harm to our inner self, our soul, our character in so doing."
