Faith = belief in the omnipotent object = no death. The more death, the greater the political leader, the greater the "sacred object" (in the name of which people kill and die). 

Violence in politics has nothing to do with individual “aggressivity” (the evolutionary psychology delusion). 

Soldiers are compelled to kill and die in the name of the state. This is the meaning of "obedience unto death." German Soldiers were compelled to be obedient unto death. And citizens of other nations were compelled to be obedient unto death
