Richard's epigram below is easy to understand, although like many of his interpretations, it contradicts conventional wisdom.
The Holocaust was not a vehicle for "separating" Jews from non-Jewish Germans, as most historians claim. On the contrary, it was a vehicle for uniting Jews with other Germans.
The obligation of German soldiers (and civilians) was to be "obedient unto death." This was Hitler's mantra, his prophecy for the German soldier. Indeed, from the beginning of the war to its conclusion, German soldiers (and civilians) fulfilled Hitler's desire and prediction. They were obedient unto death, forfeiting their lives in massive numbers.
But what about Jews? Since they were not allowed to become soldiers and to die as ordinary Germans did, they still would be required to become "obedient unto death."
The Holocaust was analogous to the Second World War--the way in which JEWS replicated the deaths of German soldiers and civilians. They would not get off "scot-free."
Hitler made certain they too would become "obedient unto death."

"Balancing the Scales of Death"
|
|
|
The obligation of German men, women and children during the Second World War was to be obedient unto death; to die for the German nation. Not a single German was exempt from this duty.
But what about Jews? Would they survive in "warm concentration camps?" The purpose of the Holocaust was to balance the scales of death.
