To elaborate briefly on what I've written below.

I think you can understand the relationship between war and the Holocaust.

To elaborate: Hitler was a jive-ass mother-fucker. He understood that “waging war” was a socially acceptable form of behavior. This is what “great leaders” do. They wage war in order to become “conquerors.”

in the process of waging war (the dream of conquest), one can require that one’s own soldiers die; that they become "obedient unto death." This goes without saying. This is what the phrase “obedience unto death” meant. In waging war, soldiers were expected to keep going, to follow the Hitler's orders, to be obedient even if it meant sacrificing one’s own life.

But then, jive ass mother-fucker that Hitler was, he reflected: “Well, if society gives me the right to sacrifice my own soldiers in warfare—if this is considered socially acceptable—why would I not also be entitled to sacrifice the life of Jews, enemies of the German people?"

Warfare is the independent variable, the Holocaust the dependent variable. Another form or manifestation of killing human beings in the name of the nation-state.

Once one understands that the essence of war is “sacrificing one’s life” (obedience unto death) rather than “male aggression,” it all makes sense.

But soldiers and men everywhere love the idea of “male aggression.” It makes men feel that they are “bad mother-fuckers” rather than the submissive wimps that they are--who can’t resist following the orders of their “leader.”

WARFARE = KILLING ONE'S OWN PEOPLE
Richard Koenigsberg

The key phrase allowing us to understand Nazism and the Final Solution was Hitler's idea of obedience unto death. This oath of the SS man led to the Holocaust, but not in an obvious way. The phrase was intended for the German people, required to go into battle when asked to do so, to endure endless bombing attacks, etc. Hitler professed to have NO GUILT about asking his people to die. Germans, embracing the ideology of obedience unto death, died in monumental numbers.

But then Hitler had a paranoid insight: “If I can ask my own soldiers to die (and have no regrets about asking them to do so), why can’t I also ask Jews to die?” Hitler's willingness to ask his own people to die was the independent variable and the Holocaust the dependent variable.

In each case, the political objective was fulfilled: the deaths of vast numbers of people.
