Of course, each and every one of you who is reading what I'm writing at this moment...KNOWS that warfare and genocide are forms of insanity (see below), a profound sickness of body and soul.
The only serious question is: why are we so terrified to say this? Is it cowardice? A resistance against facing the reality of what we human beings really are?
Don't give me the bull shit about "animal aggression/" The pretense that murdering in war is an expression of "masculinity," or something like this.
I just watched the first part of ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT, (see link below on how to see it now--for free) a great version of the classic. Every one of the boys who is persuaded to join up is terrified. Basic training is a form of TORMENTING YOUNG MEN. We know this: trying to "toughen up" naive young men.
But why is this done? For the sake of "the country." In the film, men are continuing losing their legs in the name of GERMANY and THE KAISER. So TIMID, so few rebel, they RUN INTO MACHINE GUN FIRE ENDLESSLY.
Why do they do this? This is the only serious question: Why are young men willing to run into machine-gun fire for four years? Forget the nonsense pf historians who write about about "winning" or "losing,"
So the question of war is: Why the willingness to be slaughtered? And why the lying, pretending that willingness to be slaughtered is a form of masculine aggression?
