| WHAT IS A MOTHER? WHAT IS A FATHER? |
| WHAT IS YOUR OPINION? |
Mei Ha Chan has a computer adjacent to mine (from whence I'm writing now). She is plugged into the so-called "American culture." The KARDASHIANS are one of her interests. So I cannot help hearing about these unusual phenomena (she's listening to something about "car chases" now, which apparently is an event of world historic significance (I don't have a car. I had one for my first year in New York City. I found it a burden. I got out of my car many years ago, and dropped it on Amsterdam Avenue and 103rd Street. Haven't driven or been in a car since (apart from taxi cabs).
As far as I understand it, a "mother" is an individual who holds a child in her womb for nine months, then gives birth to this child. This is what a MOTHER is.
A person who BRINGS UP this child subsequently has ADOPTED the child that another female has given birth to. OK, the child can CALL the person who raises her a MOTHER, but this child has been ADOPTED. The original mother GAVE THE CHILD AWAY to Kim Kardashian.
Mei Ha says that Kanye (the former "husband" of Kim) had his sperm frozen, then this sperm was used to impregnate ANOTHER WOMAN. Then this other woman GIVES the child to Kim (receiving a fee), who brings the child up. I would say that Kim has ADOPTED the child. Apparently Mei Ha doesn't know what "adoption" means.
If Kim remarries, then her next husband becomes the "father?"
WHO IS THE MOTHER? WHO IS THE FATHER
I guess you could call the SPERM donor the father although from my point of view it's stretching things considerably to call a sperm donor a father. Is a sperm contributor a father.
I FIND THESE THINGS QUITE CONFUSING. CAN ANYONE HELP ME? I would appreciate it.
