I'm beginning to participate in the contemporary (so-called) world, which to many people is presented through the Internet.
Geez, what nonsense, what chaos is presented. It's enough to drive one crazy if one stays too long. Yet for many people, this is "where it's at." This psychotic world.
For many years, I've used the word psychotic to describe what seemed like unusual phenomena, like the First World War, the Holocaust, Stalin's Russia, Mao's China.
But now this world of chaos and psychosis has come to dominate the United States, at least the world as it is presented through the Internet.
Yet when you walk down the street (I don't have a cell phone or "smart" phone as they like to call it, why should I bring psychosis with me?)
However, if you simply walk down the street, you don't feel this psychosis. Just a bunch of people walking down the street. The return of normality.
Richard Koenigsberg
PS: I'm beginning to get responses to my messages now that I've begun to accept the psychotic world (that is, become normal) rather than fleeing from it.
SO PLEASE WRITE TO ME. Tell me what you think of this "Brave New World." COME OUT OF YOUR HOLE. I know you're out there, reading these messages. In fact, my collaborator, the Hammer, computed that my messages have been read 2.5 million times in the past six years. I know you know me, but I don't know you.
Take a chance. Embrace risk. You have nothing to lose but your chains. Write to rakoenigsberg@libraryofsocialscience.com
