Fulfillment of the symbiotic phantasy: No separation. Each and every human being "at one" with each and every other human being. The deepest political wish. Human beings have been preparing to enact this phantasyh for  eighty years.

What prodigious efforts it has taken--not only to build the bomb--but to resist the desire to enact the phantasy that the bomb fulfills.

The film Dr. Strangelove depicts the fulfillment of the phantasy: no more struggle to resist. Peace. "We'll meet again" the song that closes out the film. Abandonment of the struggle to separate. EVERYONE FUSED ONCE AGAIN. We are all "one," at one, with each other.
