THE CARTOON BELOW CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF MANHATTAN: CLOSE, YET FAR AWAY, BODIES PRESSED AGAINST ONE ANOTHER, YET COMPLETE INDIVIDUALITY.
The essence of SYMBIOSIS AND SEPARATION.

People who don't live in Manhattan, don't have a clue. They long for "community." Here, everyone is a complete unknown (like a rolling stone).

But the physical proximity of other people makes it bearable.
One may go weeks without speaking to anyone. But everyone is waiting...to become famous.
Even the prostitutes: "Like everybody else, they wanna be a star."
