PSYCHOTIC DELUSION AS THE SOURCE OF "HISTORY" (how many Jews were there in Germany in 1933?). 

I sometimes ask people how many Jews there were in Germany out of a population of seventy-million Germans. I receive guesses of one-million, two-million, five-million, ten-million. One famous anthropologist guessed twenty-million. The actual number of Jews in Germany in 1933 was 550,000, less than 1% of the population.

Ah, but they must have been rich, in positions of power, envied by the Germans, etc., etc. In forty years of research, I never heard Hitler, Himmler or Goebbels (the architects of the Final Solution) say anything like this. Actually, most of the six-million Jews killed in the Holocaust were peasants, often impoverished.

Of course, some of you may not believe this. How could this be? There must have been something the Jews did to generate such intense hatred and murderous action. You are stuck in the outdated belief or fantasy in human "rationality." The stubborn belief that there must be real reasons why human beings do things (in spite of 120 years of Freud). 

The Holocaust was a based on a collective fantasy or delusion. 

Hitler’s fundamental idea was that Jews were intent upon destroying German culture, the German nation, and Western Civilization. Jews were hated and condemned by virtue of Germans’ conceptions of the nature of Jews/

Hitler developed a theory of the nature of Jews, believing the destructive nature of Jews was inherent in their genetic make-up. This meant that the will to destroy was contained within every single Jew.  Each and every Jew presented a danger. It didn’t matter if this Jew was male or female, young or old.

Every Jew inherited traits that caused Jews to wish to destroy Germany and civilization itself. Since Jewish traits could not be altered, extermination was the only solution, which meant cutting things off at the root, killing adult Jews, but also Jewish children who otherwise would pass along their genes to the next generation. Better a final solution—eliminating Jews from the face of the earth.

A psychotic fantasy as the source of history.
