HITLER THE DECIDER:
The thoughts that led to the Final Solution

Hitler’s  ideology embodied a coherent fantasy, the essence of which was: the German nation was a living organism or body politic suffering from a potentially fatal disease. Jews were identified as the source or cause of this disease. The most frequent images used to describe the disease caused by Jews was a bacterium, virus,  parasite, or force of disintegration.

Unless action were taken against these pathogens within the body politic, Germany would surely die or cease to exist.  The Holocaust or Final Solution followed from this concept of Germany as a body suffering from a disease, the Jew. Genocide or extermination was analogous to  a medical operation designed to save the life of a patient.

This was the thought process that led to the Holocaust. This was Hitler's fundamental idea. He was THE DECIDER. If you understand the two paragraphs above, you can spare yourself the torture of reading Timothy Snyder's two tomes (tombs).
