They say that some body-builders are "big" (scroll down).  But actually they are the smallest people of all. To identify with one's own body. This is the "shrinkage" strategy: abandoning identification with nation, culture, the symbolic order, etc. too much to bear for most academics.

Body-building means shrinking to the space of his or her own body. Unbearable for many: "I am only this?" But if you have a physique like Frank Zane, it's possible to tolerate this shrinkage. To live within one's only body. Just this.

We identify with a body politic: "from sea to shining sea." How GIGANTIC we become. Nothing more common than megalomania--through identification. 

People talk about "toxic masculinity," as if these words go together like a horse and carriage. Five years in hard core body-building gyms, never saw a fight. Not even close.

Do you really think Frank Zane has a desire to "fight" with anyone (see photo below). What would be the point?

Violence is based on SYMBOLIC IDENTIFICATIONS; fights between abstractions; fights stemming on how people label themselves.

"Ukraine must return to the mother-country." What nonsense. A gigantic fantasy. Yes, the destruction is real. But the reasons are pathological fantasies. Bandy Lee feels she needs to check with the American Psychiatric Association to determine if it's OK to consider mass-murder a form of psychopathology...get their permission. Putin needs to be "examined" to determine if he has a "disorder." Phew!

No one has a clue as to why it's all happening. Somehow it's "assumed" that a human beings want to slaughter other human beings. It's what human beings do. No "deconstruction" here. 

It's "natural" for people from one country to want to kill people from another country; to initiate atomic warfare. 

"Thank you for having me on." What on honor to be allowed to babble on television (I should say video), television is an antiquated technological device, like a long-playing record-album. 

"Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink." Ten-thousand-opinions, but clue as to what do do. Fiddling while Rome Burns. Never again. Never again. Never again. Well, AGAIN.

Delusion as social reality. 

Endlessly nonsensical ideas, lying in plain site, apparently people find this entertaining. Never heard anyone say, "YOU'RE FOOL OF SHIT." Inappropriate language. The word will be bleeped out. But no problem show ten-of-thousands of people being slaughtered each day: good, solid entertainment. 

One can't say bull shit but one can argue against bull-shit. THIS IS WHAT PUBLIC DISCOURSE IS TODAY. POINT-COUNTER-POINT. BULL-SHIT and COUNTER-BULL SHIT.
