I am not following the current "war." However, some of you may wish to begin thinking about why Russia wages war against Ukraine. You may wish to use the case of China/ Hong Kong and China/Taiwan...as paradigms.

I put forth the hypothesis that the same dynamic is operative.

You might look at documents or articles discussing the relationship between Russia and Ukraine and search for terms like “re-union,” or “motherland,” or “return to the mother.” Or “Russia and Ukraine must be re-united,” or “Russia and Ukraine must become one.”

Try it. See what happens. I’m “betting” (hypothesizing) that you will discover these kind of images. This is the first step toward understanding what is going on now: empirical data.
