Dear Colleague,
LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE is organizing a book exhibit for the Western Psychological Association (WPA) convention for the first time in 2016.
Over 2300 professors, researchers and students are expected to attend the 2016 convention in Long Beach.
The Western Psychological Association was founded in 1921 to stimulate the exchange of scientific and professional ideas and, in so doing, to enhance interest in the processes of research and scholarship in the behavioral sciences. Nearly a century on, the WPA welcomes professionals and students in Psychology and related fields to present their latest research and findings at their annual convention.
In addition to a full program of cutting-edge research, the 2016 convention will feature the following distinguished speakers: Elizabeth Loftus, Michael Shermer, Sonja Lyubomirsky, Roxane Cohen-Silver, Dacher Keltner, Howard Friedman, Nancy Segal, Jean Twenge, Phillip Zimbardo, Terry Cronan, Allen Gottfried, Peter Ditto, Leslie Martin, Sara Mednick, Ron Riggio, Jason Holland, and Joyce Chu.
As usual, books exhibited by LSS will be presented on tabletops, with each publisher’s books displayed face-out for maximum exposure.
With over 2300 attending, the WPA convention is an excellent opportunity to promote your titles on all Psychology topics—and to introduce textbooks to attending professors.
Space is limited. For details on exhibiting at the 2016 WPA meeting, please email Hugh Galford by clicking here.

The Library of Social Science book exhibit will be located at the center of the meeting space in the Westin Long Beach’s Centennial Ballroom. Poster Sessions are also in the Ballroom, with registration being held in the Foyer—ensuring a steady flow of visitors throughout the convention.
Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site for the entire duration of the conference. We actively promote your titles by discussing books with conferees, distributing flyers and catalogs, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
