Dear Colleague,

LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE is organizing a book exhibit for the 2015 Society for U.S. Intellectual History (S-USIH) conference.

S-USIH fosters the interdisciplinary discussion of contemporary ideas, institutions and significant thinkers—and their impact on American political, scientific and cultural life.

This year's Keynote Speaker is Corey Robin (Department of Political Science, Brooklyn College & the CUNY Graduate Center).

Plenary Speakers include Sarah Leonard (The Nation), Jackson Lears (Raritan), Dan McCarthy (The American Conservative), Rachel Rosenfelt (The New Inquiry), Chloe Schama (The New Republic), Bhaskar Sunkara (Jacobin); Russell Jacoby (UCLA), Tim Goeglein (Focus on the Family), Jonathan Holloway (Yale University), Claire Potter (The New School), Leo Ribuffo (George Washington University); Taína Caragol (National Portrait Gallery), David Ferriero (Archivist of the United States), Eleanor Jones Harvey (Smithsonian American Art Museum) and Robert C. Post (Curator Emeritus, National Museum of American History).

The Society’s exciting annual conference discusses intellectuals’ work, reception and influence—and how thinkers shape, and are shaped by, the communities in which they live. The Society is home to the leading scholars in the fast-growing field of Intellectual History—and their conference is the best opportunity of the year to promote your titles on all facets of intellectual history and traditions, historiography, politics, publishing media, social movements and social criticism.

Attendees at the S-USIH conference—enthusiastic book-buyers—seek titles on all aspects of intellectual and American history, including:

• Political schools of thought
• History & historiography
• Social movements & criticism
• Philosophy
• Science & technology
• Public intellectuals & their role
• Media studies
• Identity & community
• Museums & memorials
• Citizenship & tolerance

Library of Social Science’s book exhibit will be located at the center of the meeting space and will be open all four days—our professional exhibit managers are on-site from beginning to end of the conference.

We actively promote your titles by discussing books with conferees, distributing flyers and catalogs, selling books using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
