ISPS promotes the humane, in-depth treatment of psychotic disorders through the application of psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral and related approaches. In contrast to the current reliance on medication to treat mental disorders, ISPS advances training and promotes research into individual, family and group therapies. Members are drawn from all mental health-related fields to integrate a broad psycho-bio-social approach to treating the schizophrenias and other psychoses. This year’s conference will examine the myth of Pandora as a metaphor for the psychotherapeutic treatment of psychosis: release all evil and misery by opening the box, and Hope remains.
This is the best opportunity of the year to reach prominent educators seeking texts, titles for assigned readings and research materials on all aspects of mental illness, psychoanalysis and psychotherapeutic theory and practice.
ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT
The LSS BOOK EXHIBIT will once again be a featured component of the conference. Located in the Marina Room at the center of the meeting space, your books and journals will be displayed for maximum promotional impact. Our exhibit offers attendees a unique opportunity to buy significant titles from the major publishers on all aspects of psychotic disorders and their treatment through psychoanalysis and cognitive-behavioral and related approaches.
Our professional exhibit managers actively promote your titles by distributing flyers and catalogues, discussing books with conferees, selling titles on-site using publisher-supplied order forms and urging instructors to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition. Attendees visit our exhibits repeatedly over the course of a meeting.
