LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

17th Annual National Conference of the Asian Studies Development Program (ASDP):
“Asian Studies: Traditions and Transformations”
March 24-26, 2011 • Boston, MA
Book Exhibit

ASDP—a joint program of the East-West Center and University of Hawaii seeks to enhance teaching about Asia in the US. The East-West Center, established by Congress in 1960, promotes better relations among the people and nations of the US, Asia and the Pacific through research and dialogue. ASDP’s Annual Conference brings together scholars and students to analyze critical issues and policy options, share research on Asian cultures and societies, and develop strategies to infuse Asian content into humanities, social science, business and science curricula so that students not only come to understand more about other cultures, but also their own.

Attendees at this meeting are avid book-buyers intent upon keeping up with the latest publications. This is the best opportunity of the year to promote your titles to a prime market of scholars and teachers seeking monographs and texts for research and course use on all aspects of Asian Studies and on South, Southeast, Central and East Asian societies, cultures, politics and economics.

The ASDP Conference is included in Library of Social Science’s Annual Subscription Plan, which allows publishers to exhibit at any or all of our twenty-six 2011 book exhibits at a single fee. Most of our clients now work with us through the Annual Subscription Plan.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

The Library of Social Science is organizing the book exhibit for the ASDP conference. Located at the center of the meeting site at the Omni Parker House Hotel, our exhibit offers conferees a unique opportunity to buy books from a comprehensive collection of titles from the major publishers.

Our professional exhibit managers actively promote titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with attendees, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
