LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

19th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference of the American Men’s Studies Association (AMSA)
“Men, Masculinities and the Common Good in an Era of Economic Uncertainty”
March 31-April 3, 2011 • University of Missouri—Kansas City
Book Exhibit

AMSA advances the critical study of men and masculinities by encouraging teaching, research and clinical practice in the field of men's studies. Their inclusive, interdisciplinary conference brings together scholars, clinicians and activists engaged with men and masculinities as social-historical-cultural constructions. Topics range from power, patriarchy and hierarchy to literature, historical studies, gay men's experiences, the relationship of men's studies to feminism, and religion.

Attendees at this meeting are avid book-buyers intent upon keeping up with the latest publications. This is the best opportunity of the year to promote your titles to a prime market of scholars and teachers seeking monographs and texts for research and course use on men’s studies, masculinities, family, gender, sexuality, economics, healthcare, education, social anthropology, social policy and cultural studies.

The Conference of the American’s Men’s Studies Association is
included in Library of Social Science’s Annual Subscription Plan,
which allows publishers to exhibit at any or all of our twenty-six 2011 book exhibits at a single fee. Most of our clients now work with us through the Annual Subscription Plan.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

Library of Social Science’s book exhibit will be a featured component of the AMSA meeting. Located at the center of the meeting site, our exhibit offers conferees a unique opportunity to buy books from a comprehensive collection of titles from the major publishers.

Our professional exhibit managers actively promote titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with attendees, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
