LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

Annual Conference of the Association for the Psychoanalysis of
Culture and Society: “Psychoanalysis & Social Justice”
October 22-23, 2010
•  Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ

Book ExhibitAPCS is an interdisciplinary organization promoting socially beneficial applications of psychoanalysis to significant cultural issues.  This year’s conference will address how psychoanalytic theory and practice guide and are guided by ideas about social justice and social responsibility. Speakers will discuss the social importance of psychoanalysis in both its theoretical and applied forms, and what it can offer for a better understanding of social change.

This is one of the best opportunities of the year to promote your titles on psychology, psychotherapy and psychoanalytic theory and practice, as well as on psychoanalytic approaches to society and politics, history, culture, economics, literature, philosophy and the arts.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

For the 13th consecutive year, the Library of Social Science’s book exhibit will be a featured attraction of the APCS conference. Located at the heart of the meeting space, our exhibit offers participants—influential educators and researchers—the opportunity to select from a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant books and journals. Attendees at this collegial meeting seek monographs for their own research and texts for classroom adoption.

Our professional exhibit managers actively promote your titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with conferees, selling titles on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging instructors to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition. Attendees visit our exhibits repeatedly in the course of a meeting. Space is limited.
