LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

19th International Society for Research on Aggression (ISRA)
World Conference

University of Connecticut, Storrs • July 27-31, 2010

Book ExhibitFounded in 1972, ISRA is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the causes and consequences of aggressive behavior. ISRA members study all forms of violence: child abuse, domestic violence, murder, terrorism, sexual violence and civil wars. The Society’s principle mission is to show that aggression and violence, as well as alternative ways to resolve conflicts, can be successfully studied using scientific methods. Their exciting meeting allows scholars from various disciplines to share their research and find novel areas of synergy and convergence.

This is the best opportunity of the year to promote your books on violence of all types—from the perspectives of psychology, neuroscience, anthropology, psychiatry, sociology and criminology.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

The Library of Social Science’s book exhibit will be a major attraction of the ISRA conference. At the center of the meeting space in the UConn Student Union’s Ballroom 331—near registration, coffee breaks and keynote presentations—our exhibit will offer participants the opportunity to select from a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant books and journals in the field.

Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site from the beginning of the conference to its conclusion. We actively promote your books by discussing them with conferees, distributing promotional material, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms and urging attendees to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
