LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS
38th Annual Meeting of the National Association for Ethnic Studies:
"Who Counts and Who's Counting?"
April 8-10, 2010 • Washington, DC

LSSNAES is an interdisciplinary forum for scholars and activists concerned with national and international dimensions of race and ethnicity. Promoting scholarship and advocacy in the Ethnic Studies field, the Annual NAES Conference welcomes scholars, students and government leaders to discuss the state of ethnic minority populations, the challenges facing urban communities and communities of color, and the interactions between minority and majority populations from artistic, literary, political and sociological vantage points. This year’s theme examines issues that the 2010 US census raises: How do classifications of race and ethnicity define lives, become part of individual and collective thinking, and shape definitions of who we are?

This is the best meeting of the year to promote your titles on race, ethnicity and community to policy-makers and prominent scholars from the fields of anthropology, art, business, film studies, literature, science, education, political science, psychiatry, psychology, law, economics, religion, sociology and philosophy.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

The Library of Social Science’s book exhibit will be at the center of the meeting space, near registration, coffee breaks and keynote presentations. Our exhibit will be a major attraction of the conference, offering participants the opportunity to select from a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant books and journals in the field.

Our professional exhibit managers actively promote your titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with conferees, selling titles on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging instructors to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition. Attendees visit our exhibits repeatedly in the course of a meeting. Space is limited.
