Exhibit at Extraordinary Savings by Participating in
Library of Social Science's 2010 Annual Subscription Plan

Dear Colleague,

We are encouraging our Publisher/Clients to participate in our 2010 book exhibits through our ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PLAN (ASP). The ASP allows you to promote your titles at EACH AND EVERY ONE of our (20-25) conferences in 2010 for a single, flat fee.

Through the ASP, publishers may exhibit at an extraordinary saving—as compared with signing up for conferences one by one. This offers your press the opportunity to promote your titles at more meetings and to a wider audience.

PLEASE SEND US A RETURN EMAIL (AnnualSubscriptionPlan@LibraryofSocialScience.com) ASAP TELLING US THAT YOU’D LIKE TO CONSIDER PARTICIPATING IN OUR BOOK EXHIBITS THROUGH THE 2010 ASP. WE’LL SEND YOU AN ESTIMATE—AND WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.

The ASP lets you plan your exhibiting schedule in advance and simplifies sending books to conferences—all this in addition to our professional on-site managers, active promotion of your titles and well-known research.

IN 2010, WE ARE OFFERING ASP PARTICIPANTS A NEW BENEFIT: A DEDICATED WEBPAGE FOR YOUR PRESS.

PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO SEE WHAT THE WEBPAGE FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA PRESS (EXHIBITING IN 2010 THROUGH THE ASP) LOOKS LIKE:

http://www.libraryofsocialscience.com/asp/asp_california.html

This page will allow you to:

  1. Share your 2010 book exhibit schedule with your colleagues.
  2. Alert editors & publicists to meetings at which they can promote their authors’ books—at no additional charge once you are signed up for the ASP.
  3. Underscore to your authors—and potential authors—how serious you are about promoting their books.

Once you’ve signed up, you can create a link on your website that brings people to the webpage that we’ve created for you.

Please send us a return email (AnnualSubscriptionPlan@LibraryofSocialScience.com) ASAP telling us that you’d like to consider participating in our book exhibits through the 2010 ASP. We’ll send you an estimate—and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Publishers who exhibit through the ASP plan will be invoiced on MARCH 1, 2010.

We look forward to working with you to help to promote, publicize and sell your books.

Best regards,

Hugh Galford

ABOUT US:

LSS is the premier company organizing and managing book exhibits for scholarly and professional conferences. We select the best meetings—and bring together for each a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant titles in the field. Our book exhibits are a major attraction at the conferences we attend. Our professional exhibit managers are on-site throughout the meeting, actively promoting your books, distributing promotional material, and urging attendees to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition. During the past 20 years, LSS has worked with nearly every significant publisher of serious books.

BENEFITS OF OUR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PLAN:

  1. Save money: single fee covers the entire year.
  2. Plan your promotional schedule in advance.
  3. Sign up once: no need for continual communication.

NEW IN 2010: PUBLISHER WEBPAGE:

Each participating publisher will have its own webpage—listing all of our conference book exhibits. A link on your own website will send your authors, potential authors, editors and marketing personnel to this webpage—so they will know at which conferences your press is promoting its titles.

PROCEDURE FOR OUR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PLAN:

  1. We will send you an email (four or five weeks in advance) with a description of the conference and list of suggested titles, including books written by your authors who are speaking at the meeting, by authors who have requested that their titles be exhibited, and titles selected by our staff of scholars.
  2. You may exhibit at each and every one of our conference book exhibits if you wish (but are not obligated to do so).
  3. We will provide the conference shipping address and you will send display copies of books, order forms and other promotional materials to the meeting site.
  4. You will email or fax us a list of titles for each meeting, specifying the list and discount price for each.
