LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS
Annual Conference of the Association for the
Psychoanalysis of Culture and Society
October 9-10, 2009 • Rutgers University

LSS APCS is an interdisciplinary organization promoting socially beneficial applications of psychoanalysis to significant cultural issues.  This year’s conference will address the relevance of psychoanalysis to the economy. Speakers will investigate the unique benefits that theoretical and clinical psychoanalysis can offer not only to understanding, but also to intervening in, our most serious social problems. Attendees will discuss globalization, interdependence, the media, feminism and the psychological interpretation of politics.

This is one of the best opportunities of the year to promote your titles on psychology, psychotherapy and psychoanalytic theory and practice, as well as on psychoanalytic approaches to economics, politics, history, culture, society, literature, philosophy and the arts.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

For the 12th consecutive year, the Library of Social Science’s book exhibit will be a featured attraction of the APCS conference. Located at the heart of the meeting space, our exhibit offers participants—influential educators and researchers—the opportunity to select from a comprehensive collection of the latest and most significant books and journals. Attendees at this collegial meeting seek monographs for their own research and texts for classroom adoption.
