LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

Joint Conference of the Canadian Anthropology Society (CASCA) and the American Ethnological Society (AES)
U. of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC • May 13-16, 2009

LSSThe Canadian Anthropology Society (CASCA) is Canada's largest and most prominent organization for anthropologists—promoting research, teaching, and the dissemination of anthropological knowledge. Founded in 1842, the American Ethnological Society (AES) is the oldest and most important professional anthropological organization in the United States—promoting research and scholarship in all aspects of ethnology.

This year’s conference—jointly organized by CASCA and AES—promises to be exceptionally significant, bringing together an international group of anthropologists, sociologists, scholars, theorists, students, researchers, and ethnographers who will participate in a rich series of sessions, symposia, roundtables and workshops. With 700 people expected to attend, this is one of the most exciting anthropology meetings of 2009.

This is one of the best opportunities of the year to reach prominent educators seeking texts, titles for assigned readings, and research materials on all aspects of anthropology.

Space is limited. Please fill out and fax your reservation form as soon as possible to reserve a space for your press.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

As usual, the LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBIT will be a featured component of the CASCA/AES meeting. Our exhibit will be located at the center of the meeting space—offering conferees a unique opportunity to buy books from a comprehensive collection of titles from the major publishers. Our professional exhibit managers actively promote titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with conferees, selling books on-site using publisher supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
