LIBRARY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE BOOK EXHIBITS

2008 Annual Convention of the Texas Psychological
Association: "Maturing as a Profession"
November 20-22, 2008, Austin, TX

LSSThe Texas Psychological Association (TPA), founded in 1947, is devoted to meeting the continuing education needs of the state's mental health professionals. This year's TPA convention brings together over 600 scholars, psychologists, therapists, counselors, social workers and students. These attendees are avid book-buyers seeking the latest titles on the full range of psychology and mental health topics, including forensic psychology, binational/multicultural issues, child & adolescent development, mental retardation & developmental disabilities, aging, psychopharmacology, social justice issues, certification and legislative concerns.

This is one of the best opportunities of the year to promote your titles to a prime market of professionals, clinicians and educators eager to acquire the latest publications covering the full range of titles in psychology and mental health, including narrative, multicultural awareness and competence, ethics, eating disorders, online sexual activity, addiction, trauma & conflict resolution, couples therapy and the elderly.

Space is limited. Please fill out and fax your reservation form as soon as possible to reserve a space for your press.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXHIBIT

The Library of Social Science's book exhibit will be at the heart of the meeting space, directly adjacent to registration. The influential educators who attend this large, collegial meeting seek monographs for their own research and texts for classroom adoption.

Our professional exhibit managers will be on-site from the beginning of the conference to its conclusion. We actively promote your titles by distributing flyers and catalogs, discussing books with conferees, selling books on-site using publisher-supplied order forms, and urging faculty to consider titles for course adoption and library acquisition.
